It started with a lingering discontent.  I had achieved everything that was supposed to make me happy:  a healthy six figure income, a string of rapid promotions, a house in a hip neighborhood, a luxury car, a wedding date set with an amazing, similarly accomplished man and a bucket list that was 75% complete by my 35th birthday.

Yet, I wasn’t happy.  I wasn’t energized by my work even though I believed my team was driving a turnaround.  I lost control of my time and was mentally and physically exhausted.  After a decade spent sitting in conference rooms around the world, I was tired of ineffective meetings that stripped teams of their passion and initiative. I sensed the same intolerance for corporate bullsh*t building in my own team and was quickly losing my drive to motivate them.

So, I took a break. I travelled. I started a family. I became a nicer person. I got bored.

I couldn’t stay away. I kept helping people solve problems. I realized there was a better way.

We launched Keenan Reid Strategies to turn traditional sales & marketing consulting on its head.  We don’t help clients, we help people.  We find the truth – we diagnose the root cause of problems by analyzing the right set of data from the reams that companies don’t know how to sort through.  We tell the truth – we address the facts swimming just below the surface in every organization. We set the path – we map simple growth plans that enable leaders to engage everyone in the organization, guided by metrics that reinforce success.   And most importantly, we hand it off – great strategists don’t make great implementers.  We commit to enable your team’s implementation of the growth plan or help you manage a cost-effective partner that can knock the execution out of the park. 

We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Yes, many problems need a traditional consulting project management structures and we fully believe in rigorous project and team management.  But, some leaders would simply rather leverage our expertise to guide their teams as needed.  Advising is a quick, cost-effective tool to validate your team’s strategy or help make decisions involving the retail channel. We also offer personal mentoring.  Mentoring is a great tool for rising executives, sales directors and small business owners who want to enhance their ability to think and communicate strategically with customers and senior leaders.

So, why should you care? It's simple: We exist to help you grow.  Our goal is to maximize overall business growth.  We could go get "real jobs" but we believe we our talents can have a greater impact this way.  

Keenan Reid Strategies is named after my grandmothers, two women who taught me how to tell jokes and not take shit.  Keenan Reid’s goal is to find the truth and set clear direction, using analytics and simple management tools to guide our way.
